Pre-Pour slab inspection stage is the most important stage in your new home building process.
We carry out pre-pour slab inspection against very strict checklist as per provisions of Building Code of Australia and AS 2870-2011- Residential slab & Footings.
Correct use of rebars, internal dimenssions of slab, additional rebars around pipes, External footing details, termite protection(part A works) are key points in our checklist.
We make sure that the defects found at the time of inspection are rectified by the builder at the same time on-site. Our report lists out the relevant clauses in Building code of Australia that defects do not comply with.
We also notify to the builder if adequate site drainage is not maintained around foundation during the entire period of construction. Section 3.1.3.2 of Building Code of Australia Volume 2 requires that the builders maintain adequate site drainage from the start of the construction to prevent potential building movement.
